Our Academic Philosophy

Grand Christian Prep encourages critical thinking with original, grade-specific curriculum taught by certified teachers and teachers aides. We combine a STEAM focus (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math), with hands-on learning and Christian values. Daily Bible lessons, music, group and independent projects, homesteading lessons, plenty of recess, daily snacks, and small class sizes are all designed to encourage students to engage with and enjoy school again. We believe in the Constitution of the United States of America and pledge the American and Christian flags daily.

GCP Academic Highlights & Expectations

Classes are grouped together as follows:

Kindergarten is taught by certified teacher Mrs. Amanda Cox
1st & 2nd is certified teacher and former principal and superintedent of the Moseley school district, Mrs. Charlene Carter
3rd & 4th taught by certified teacher and master reading specialist Ms. Kimberly Roberts
5th and 6th taught by certified teacher Mrs. Stephanie Spence
7th and 8th teacher has been hired and will be announced soon

K must be 5 years old by September 1

No more than 20 students per class

2 recesses per grade daily

2 snack breaks per grade daily - snacks provided individually by parents to ensure no allergy issues

Every student brings his/her own lunch - a refrigerator and microwave are available

A 45 minute block schedule period is infused once a day and alternates between Spanish, art, music, pe, homesteading/home ec, and more

Every class will have daily bible study

Critical thinking, common sense, personal responsibility, and empathy are paramount to the GCP philosophy

Benchmark testing done at beginning and end of the year

All original curriculum will meet and exceed Oklahoma state standards

3 Year Old Teacher is Ms. Samantha Sullivan

Student must be 3 years old by September 1

No more than 12 students allowed in 3 Year Old Cubs Program

4 Year Old Pre-K Teacher is Mrs. Zenobia Yates

Student must be 4 years old by September 1

No more than 15 students allowed in 4 Year Old Pre-K Cubs Program

ALL STUDENTS MUST BE POTTY TRAINED

Daily schedule includes group and independent play, circle time, Bible time, focus on building fundamentals with shapes, colors, letters, tactile games/toys, learning centers, story time/reading, and limited (if any) individual screen time

Students will also participate in a different block scheduling class each day, including spanish, music, art, homesteading/home ec, pe, and more

1 nap daily for 3 year old class, 4 year olds vary

2-3 recesses per grade daily

Focus is on building on the principles of kindness, self-control, sharing, brainstorming, respect, and learning both as a team and individually

2023-2024 Tuition Rates

GCP Lions: August-May School Year (8:30am-3:20pm)

$4560 annually for first student enrolled ($380/month)

$3540 annually for each additional immediate family member enrolled ($295/month)

12 month tuition commitment: August 2023 through July 2024

Annual, bi-annual, monthly and bi-monthly payments accepted

After Care Program is available (3:20-5:30pm, $10/day or $40/week) - for details email info@grandchristianprep.com

GCP Cubs 3 & 4 Year Old Program: August-May School Year

$5100 annually (8:30am-3:20pm)

12 month tuition commitment: August 2023 through July 2024 ($425/month)
